Meet Our Attorneys Nora McCarthy Nora McCarthy is the Senior Associate Attorney at the firm. She received her B.S., R.N. from Columbia University in 1972, and her J.D. degree from New York Law School in 1979. Her varied nursing experiences included emergency room care, work with cancer and other terminally ill patients, management of patients with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions, and supervision of a nursing home patient population. This background contributes to her current medical malpractice litigation expertise, a specialty in which she has represented both defendants and plaintiffs. Ms. McCarthy is admitted to the Bar of the State of New York and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, and the New York County Lawyers Association. Home
