Friedman, Levy & Goldfarb, P.C. is pleased to announce that on September 1, 2009 the law firm of Charles E. Green P.C. will be merging with our firm and the firm's new name after January 1st will be Friedman, Levy, Goldfarb & Green, P.C.

With this merger we welcome back Charles Green, who following his graduation in 1987 from the State University of New York at Albany with cum laude honors and law school in 1990 from the National Law Center at George Washington University, joined our firm as an associate. Charles excelled as an attorney while here, and in 1994 he set off to start his own firm where he has been for the past 16 years.

Over the past two decades Charles Green has cemented his reputation with his clients and the New York legal community as a sharp legal mind, skilled negotiator and formidable trial lawyer. His cases have been reported in the New York Law Journal and Official New York State Court reports and have resulted in legal decisions that have made new law that is now cited by other attorneys in support of their cases. Charles Green's cases have been featured in the New York Daily News and many of Mr. Green's jury verdicts, including one in a dental malpractice case where his client was awarded $1,450,000 and another involving a ceiling collapse in an apartment where his client was awarded $872,500, were reported in the New York State Jury Verdict Reporter.

Other cases successfully handled by Charles Green have resulted in not just sizable recoveries for his clients, but also in the recall of dangerous and defective products as was the case when a well know department store was forced to recall sweaters it sold after Mr. Green filed suit on behalf of one of his clients who was seriously burned when the sweater she was wearing was ignited by a table candle. In another case, a well regarded youth organization re-wrote certain portions of their policies manual after Charles Green brought suit on behalf of a six year old boy who was assaulted while in one of the organization's after school programs. Like us, Mr. Green believes that whenever possible, positive change should come from the cases we handle.
