Friedman, Levy, Goldfarb & Weiner has, through the years, earned a singular reputation as a dedicated plaintiff advocate in cases involving personal injury and medical malpractice. Although we are organized to handle a wide array of cases at any one time, we are not a volume law firm. Our caseload is carefully regulated in order to give each client the personal and individual attention he or she deserves. We are very selective about the cases we accept, but once we are retained, we prepare and prosecute every case for trial, devoting the time and effort needed to insure a successful result. Cases are often settled out of court, but it is our careful preparation for trial, and our reputation as formidable trial attorneys, that motivates insurance carriers to settle. Our work has resulted in numerous precedent setting awards for our clients. In the past year alone, the firm prosecuted a case which resulted in the largest dental malpractice jury verdict ever awarded in the state of New York. We also prosecuted and settled a workplace accident case, based on New York State's Labor Law and involving a bridge painter who fell from a broken scaffold, which resulted in a monetary settlement in excess of $3,000,000.

In the area of personal injury, we have successfully prosecuted cases involving automobile accidents; workplace accidents; wrongful death; governmental liability; premises liability; slip and fall cases, assault and products liability.

Our medical malpractice cases include every type of omission and commission by medical providers resulting in serious injury or death. Medical providers include hospitals, doctors, dentists, podiatrists, chiropractors, nurses and physician's assistants. The Firm has successfully prosecuted malpractice cases involving obstetrical, orthopedic, surgical, neurological and psychiatric errors that have resulted in brain damaged infants, crippling injuries, paralysis, death and significant pain and suffering.
